Why is my car different?

In starting the restoration and learning about the car and it’s eccentricities I have noticed that all the electrical drawings I see in the DB Club News and in the “Mechanics Instruction Manual” I have show the battery hooked up with a positive ground system.
In hooking up the battery to my 1922 Dodge I find that it is wired for a negative ground system. Can you tell me what the story is with my car being different?

my Dodge is a 1922 touring # 655117 made in early 1922.

The easy way to remember the differance is where the horn button is located from the factory. On the door it's positive ground, on the steering wheel it's negative, from what I know.

The horn button has long been gone so I don't know where it was originally. When the ignition switch is turned on, the needle deflects left towards discharge and when the car is running the gauge deflects to the right to charging.
Will this make any difference in it's performance?

No,If you don't have a button in the center of the steering wheel or a place for it '
it would have been on the door.
