I've got a 1924 DB Touring in very good to excellent original condition. At some point the vacuum tank was disconnected and a small electric fuel pump was mounted on the firewall next to the vacuum tank. The exterior of the tank is in excellent condition. I was thinking about rebuilding the tank and eliminating the fuel pump. Once rebuilt, is the vacuum system as reliable as electric pumps?

My 25 had an electric pump got rid of it and have used the vacuum tank for over ten years and have had no problems with it

Thanks for your answer. I was hoping for that answer since I want to have the car as original as possible.

When I got my 1919 I had to teach myself about vacuum tanks because mine did not work. A ford guy messed it up before me. After I got it working it works perfect I would definitely go back to the tank if I were you. They are not that complicated by todays standards.
