Does anyone know when particular serial number tags were used in the early years. it seems one was 1915 only. Another at least 16,17 and 18, if not more years. The last for 4 cylinder cars that I know of has a DB logo and was at least used in 1924. IS anyone sure when they were changed? The '15 has a warning about using distilled water in the battery, and a rectangle area for the stamped number, and no logo. 16,17, and 18 have the warning but an oval for the number and no logo. Last I know of has no warning, an oval and a logo.

I can only verify that the original in my late October of '17 built car is as per your description and I really hope that plate can get reproduced. Being mounted on the surface of the right toeboard, these could not have been much more vulnerable to wear!
