Post subject:  Vacuum amplifier for vacuum tank

Looking for a lead to acquire a vacuum amplifier and the vacuum check valve for my Steward Vacuum tank.
I believe the Kingston vacuum booster will also work also.

Thanks, I have seen pictures just don't know that I have seen the actual fitting. It could be made up with regular brass fittings, solder the hole shut and drill for #51. But that isn't what you ask for. I would ask Tom Myers if he has any, he should.

Thanks for input. Good idea to modify a std. 1/8” fitting. Was planning on doing it, but I believe you may not need it if you use the vacuum amplifier.

I think you would wind up with a very rough idle when the vacuum tank is drawing fuel without the small orifice. They call it an amplifier, but It think it actually restricts the hard vacuum lose that you would have without it.

Talking to fellow dodge owners and the claim that the standard fitting on tank is sufficient. It has the small orfice. I have located one.

That one I have on a few tanks. I don't own anything with vacuum wipers so I guess that is why I have not seen the other fitting.

Found a Kingston Vacuum Amplifier in my “bone pile”. We all have a bone pile.
Do not know purpose of brass ball behind the brass orfice insert. Any ideas?
The orfice has been drilled to diameter greater than the #51 drill hole specified.
Can I fill hole will silver solder and redrill the orfice?

Guys, These 'Vac. amplifier attachments' are neat but extremely rare and hard to find. I have another take on the Vac. 'assist' that should be more readily available. It is a small auxiliary Vac. tank installed via a "T" in the line. It can be hidden inside up out of the way on the firewall. It will provide a residual Vac. source when you are going up a hill with your foot in the throttle and the engine not providing it's usual supply. You could use a regular Vac. tank and remove the pot metal cover and inner tank then create a flat plate cover and gasket using the original screws. The fuel fitting on the bottom will connect to the original Vac. line via. that 'T' fitting.
Enjoy your ride over those hills and dales.
