OK, that's the vehicle I thought. I met the owner before you his last trip to Hershey. Quite impressive car, won't find too many others IF any.

Sounds as if you've tried everything except a cylinder leak down test.

I'd try that next if it was my truck. Unfortunately, this could yield bad news so brace yourself. IF pressure loss is due to an internal leak of any kind, it won't be good news but at least you'll have a more precise answer of why it's loosing pressure and what the resolution should be.

If you're thinking of rebuilding it anyway, you may not want to risk further damage (in my opinion) and rebuild properly when you can afford it.

Thanks David, I am getting to the point as you said just do it right before I get some serious damage. It was talking with someone just yesterday woh suggested the same
So I will do that next but probably just bite the bullet and get it rebuilt.

Check the bearing clearances with Plastigage. If the clearances are okay the bearings are not the problem. Check the end play too.

If I don't do the full rebuild that will be something I do. But I am leaning to a full rebuild.

A rebuilt engine is a wonderful thing and should cure your woes.
Whether i's a repair or rebuild, it would be wise to find the cause while the engine is assembled. If the bearings look okay and are within tolerance I suggest you keep looking until you find an explanation.
I've never been inside one of those engines so I can't offer any DB specific details.
Unless there are oil distribution lines with threaded connections inside the engine, an internal leak seems unlikely. If there are restricted fittings to spray oil on the gears or?, make sure those haven't been monkeyed with. Worn camshaft bearings could/would cause low oil pressure. Sloppy lifters are unlikely but worth ruling out.
