It would help to know what engine you have. Maybe some pictures.

If this is a passenger car DA. I have this engine in my 29 DB also. I found the water pump will not clear the radiator.
What is your frame number?
Need pictures.

If you're talking about the throttle control linkage that goes down the steering column this should help.

Also had a discussion about it on the AACA forum

Check out the AACA forum Dave Young forwarded. I could download the pics of my DA 6 linkage to this site.
Send a pic of your truck to this site. Always interested in seeing these trucks.

Here are a few pics of the truck. Alot of work to be done yet. I have got some of the linkage put back on but I could use a pic for the linkage that goes behind the head on the drivers side and pics of the linkage that goes from drivers side to distributor cap.

These pics may or may not help.
They are from a 3/4 ton DA truck engine but should be close enough to help in the next step for linkage routing purposes.

The 3/4 to 1 1/2 ton DA trucks from 29-30 used this same set up. DA truck engines and DA car engines had a few differences as you can see. Hope this helps.

Disregard the yellow arrows, that was for another conversation I had in the past.

David, I see the exhaust exits to the rear. Is that a truck thing as my DA sedan exits to the front? Is that a truck ONLY manifold?

Post subject:  Re: 1929 dodge truck

My DA-6 engine in my truck has the rear exit. I was given a DA-6 from a passenger car and it had the front exhaust exit. I used it in my truck until I get my get my rebuild back from the shop. All I needed to do was change to rear exit.
