Where does the thermostat wire hook up to and location on a 1929 da motor? I can't seem to locate it.

A DA doesn't have a temperature gauge. At least in '29 they didn't.

Those are great pictures shermstake. Could I get a pic of the driver side of the engine compartment? Trying to figure how to hook up cable to distributor. Another question too. Where do the spark plug wires go on the distributor cap? I am not very knowledgeable about these engines. Trying to learn.

Sherm, is the round gauge beside the cluster the face for the temp? I am sure DA cars do not have that. What brand of gauge is it?

The existing temp gauge was badly rusted and I do not know the maker. I am not aware of pass cars.

Thanks for the pic. Could I see the linkage behind the horn? That is where I am having issues putting back together. Also did you have the radiator modified to have the outlet come out the bottom right side?

This is the correct location for both inlet and outlet of the truck radiator for this year. No modification.

Also the dash has a place for the temp gauge. It is the round opening next to the cluster.

These instructions should help if you're asking about firing order

Also, here is a link to your distributor cable question that may help. See post #2 what Mattl430 posted and post #3 what BobZ posted

BTW, I believe the round gauges were made by National and the newer oval shaped ones on trucks were made by North/East

Don't have a pic of the horn bracket for the DA cars. You may need a owners manual for DA6 cars in order to find that. On second thought I think I have a DA6 car owners manual around here somewhere. If I find it I'll post a pic of how the horn bracket setup looks.

Lastly, the DA6 truck lower water outlet was opposite side from the car radiators.
