Post subject:  MORE manuals at AACA library.

I was just loaned more truck manuals to be scanned for our collection. They are all DB/GB trucks manuals from 1928 to 1939. They are all parts manuals including a 1934 Master Parts Book. I am scanning then now, will be added to the list under the Burchill collection soon. I am still looking for owner's manuals for trucks if anyone has some. Either hard copies or scanned material would work. If you can't scan them I can.

thanks Doug. I am still looking for the 32 f-10 manual. Can you let me know if you come across it. I have already received all the 32 stuff from the library, but no manual.

OK, I am finished scanning for now. All the material is available. Paul, the AACA library has a '31 F owner's manual in their collection. Would that help you?

The manual will be list as One Half Ton Truck both UF four cylinder and F six cylinder are in same book . Only other info affecting your edition is date of manufacturing of it . I have a second edition and some info from first if your looking for something in particular .

August 1931 Second edition . Either book i guess in your case . The second is one I would look for . It has better and more universal info in it . You have the PA 196 ci. UT engine .

I am pretty sure mine is the 211 CI engine.

yes its a 6 "DD" but first I heard it called a Desoto engine? Can you elaborate more on that please?

Sorry not much help on why called DeSoto . Assume like the fours were Plymouth design , the trucks used U,Q,Pa . The six was of DeSoto design .

I got the manual from the library and its for a 1 & 1/2 ton truck. Good news is its the same engine I have. The chassis is different but that is ok. I will keep looking. Spencer checked 31/32 and 33, there are no 1/2 ton versions of the book in the lib.
