Hello all, 1st time user. I have a 1928 Fast Four, the vacuum tank has stopped working properly. Has anyone fitted a 6Volt electric fuel pump?
What problems if any could be faced fitting electric fuel pump to the gravity fed system?

Cheers,

An electric pump should be fine as long as it's one made for a carburetor, regulated at about 3-4 PSI, (20.7-27.6 KPA), or less.
While you are driving with that you can see what's wrong with the vacuum tank. They look confusing but are wonderfully simple.
In what way is the vacuum tank malfunctioning?

P.S.
There seem to be a lot of DB owners and enthusiasts in New Zealand and Australia. You may find help and parts closer to home if you post on the AACA site listed here under "connect".

Simon, plenty of people use electric pumps. BUT I know of several cars that caught fire because of them. The DB carb is meant for NO pressure, only gravity from vacuum tank to carb. Fix yours. The DBC store has reprints on the carb and vacuum tank. That is how the car was designed and will run just fine if properly repaired. There are lots of DB folks down under that will help you if needed.
