I have recently acquired a 1932 depot hack. It is in great shape but needs some love due to sitting for a few years because the previous owners poor health and passing.

I am looking for any reference materiel to help with my efforts to get this car on the road in the spring. Firstly I am looking for any pictures of one to help me get things in original shape.

On the placard on the dash it lists it as an f10. I am assuming that to be the frame and drive train configuration. It appears to be all stock with the flat head 6 and 6 volt electrical system.

My next and first effort is to get it started. I have rebuilt the fuel pump and carburetor. Currently waiting for the gas tank to return from flush and coating. then will attempt to fire it up.

I am also looking for a radiator cap!

I look forward to any reference material out there and any advice to help with the process.

Hi Paul,

nice truck and welcome btw...

Some books that may be helpful are the owners manual (first photo) or more commonly referred to as the "Instruction Book" and the second pic showing the parts list book.

The books will cover both the 4 cyl UF 10 and the 6 cyl F10

Keep an eye out a swap meets, auction websites and other local and online resources. They do pop up every now and again but haven't seen one in over a year so you'll need to be patient.

There are no clear cut locations to tell you to go to because the books are so rare and hardly ever come up for auction. You may also be able to ask around to see if anyone is willing to share info you need or print out copies.

Good luck

The AACA library has a few car manuals for 1932 of which you can get copies. Go to AACA website, then to library, then click on "online catalog." Search 1932 Dodge and there is a list of all the manuals for '32. Or call them and request a copy with a credit card. It will be mailed to you.

Paul, I went to the AACA library today. They have three different Books of Information for 6 cylinder DB cars for '31-'32. One is Aug.31 DH for cars after 3,542,875. One is Jan. '32 DL, for cars after 3,561,489 and the other is Feb.'32 DL. These manuals would be what came in the car as an owner's manual, has all tuneup specs, wiring diagrams, controls, etc. You want the manual printed JUST before your car was built. With a book being printed in both Jan. and Feb. there most have been significant changes to warrant a new manual. There was also a manual for 8 cylinder cars from Feb. '32. Copies of any of them would cost about 10 dollars.

In my searching at AACA library today I found literature for a 1932 DB with a four cylinder engine. There was a brochure and advertisement. Turns out DB used the four cylinder Plymouth engine in Canadian built DBs for export use. I've never seen reference of them before. You don't have one of those do you Paul? There was only 16 of them built.

Doug mine is a flat head 6 engine #320029-3. The placard on the dash lists it as an f-10 chassis. VIN 8101642.
thanks

Some can post it later tonight but you can also go to the club store and buy a copy of the “official guide to Dodge and Graham Brothers trucks through 1938”. It’s around$10 and it has your truck in one of the articles info submitted by previous owner that I’m sure you’ll recognize. Also keep your eye out for sales brochures. They aren’t terribly informative but neat to own for your specific vehicle. You will want the $10 book at the club store...

I received the book from the club store. and yes that is my truck. I got it from Carl's estate. It was sitting for about 10 years so I need to to a lot of TLC to get it on the road. But over all it is in great shape.
I wil watch for your posts this weekend. Thanks

After David posted about it I had to look. I had met Carl many years ago at Hershey but had never seen the woodie. I don't think you will see too many others like it.

I have been searching for a while and haven't yet. I am looking for some images to get some restoration done. If you know of any I would appreciate it. I am looking for a side mirror that mounts on the windshield column, fuel sending unit and the radiator cap/ornament.
Any help would be appreciated.
