Eric, are you sure the 3 is not an S and there might be an I in front of that? If so it would be a May '28.

Doug

Read your post & took another look and tracing.

The # is indeed :

1 S 2 8 9 2 6

Can you tell me what each Number & letter means ?

I cannot find any trace (hole pattern) of a firewall mounted VIN plate on this vehicle.

Had read that the plate would have been mounted above trans tunnel inside vehicle, but cannot find it.

Thanks

Erik

Sorry, I know nothing about Seniors. I was simply reading from Myers DB Parts catelog. ALL '28 Seniors started with IS and then a number. The 28,926 would put it about the end of May maybe beginning of June. So it's a very late '28, '29's started on July 1. As the '28's serial numbers started at 10,000, there were only 19,000 cars built. So you have a fairly rare car.

I accessed the DBC info on production, & see exactly what you state.

I was told before, that Senior 6 vehicles were not mass produced, due to thier cost.

Unfortunetly, that means fewer available parts as well.

Many Thanks for your assistance,

Erik
