Post subject:  Leaf Springs Needed
I want to replace the front and rear leaf springs on my '28 Standard Suburban. I've called a couple of spring manufacturers listed in Hemmings but they do not have the blueprints for them. They can do it if I send them my springs but the car is currently running and driving and I do not have a car lift at my house. Has anyone had springs made without sending their current springs out? One thought is to find a used set and send them out. Any help would be appreciated.

There should be lots of outfits that can and will make springs to specified dimensions. I've used Palmer Spring in Portland Maine for more than 45 years.
You'll need to know the width, number and thickness of leaves, center to center distance of holes and the diameter of the holes.
If you tell me the center to center of your spring shackles, (on the frame), along with leaf thickness and number of leaves I'll compare that to what I find on my 24' (four wheels). and 26', (front only).
