I read somewhere 1 5/8-16. Is that correct?

PS a rubber sink stopper fits the crank hole perfectly !:^|
Use a black sharpie to color it black and its invisible. So, I'm a cheap redneck.

That's exactly what I did! I just thought at some point I would chase out the threads and put the original plug I have back in. not a high-priority fix. Thanks from a fellow redneck rube.

The threads on the plug are undercut where they meet the flange. Without a washer or O ring the plug may screw in okay but seem stripped when it's drawn tight.
